Three Lochs Forest Drive

If you prefer to make a quick trip around the forest then the 7.5 mile long Three Lochs Forest Drive may be the perfect option for you.

The winding forest road often by the streams with picturesque views is very convenient to ensure you make the most out of your driving trip with planned parking spots and trails leading to lakes. There are several picnic spots, toilets and car parks in this route.

It is a one-way route with facilities such as toilets, car parks and picnic spots along the way. Please bear in mind that the entrance barriers are closed at 4pm and the exit barriers are closed by 5pm so keeping an eye on time is a good idea. The drive is open to public from April to October all week starting from 9 am.

The Lodge Forest Visitor Center (previously David Marshall Lodge)

Previously known as David Marshall Lodge. Overlooking the village of Aberfoyle, the lodge may just be the perfect spot for you to start your visit. The remarkable building was acquired by the Forestry Commission in 1960 as a gift from the Carnegie Trust. There are useful facilities including restaurants, Go Ape high wire forest adventure, forest shop, picnic areas, wildlife viewing centre, children’s play area and toilets.
There are several way marked trails setting off from Lodge leading to the Achray Forest. Fun days and other family activities including ranger led guided walks are held at the visitor centre throughout the year.
